2021 Mazda CX-30

This SUV gets the distinctive Mazda front end look. A lot of attention has been paid to detail on the inside. Design materials are clearly ahead of most other competitors in this segment, the main one being Subaru Crosstrek. Overall, the 2021 CX-30 clearly appears like a complete package.

CX-30 Trims Available:

Mazda offers a total of 5 variants for the CX-30. These are:

  • CX-30 (base)
  • Preferred
  • Select
  • Premium
  • Turbo

AWD (All Wheel Drive) can be added as an option.

Exterior Appearance:

The front end has two lines on the hood which generate a sporty look. Full LED lights can be seen at the front as well. Plastic molding is visible at the lower part of the bonnet, which is easy to replace. 18 inch wheels with bulging wheel arches are visible on the sides. Chrome accents run along the entire length of the car.

The rear hinged doors are pretty like the ones found on the BMW i3 electric vehicle. Circular LED taillights and the integrated unit give a sharp look to the vehicle’s rear.

Engine and Performance:

The SUV’s heart comprises of a 2.5 liter, 4-cylinder engine that produces 186 hp of maximum power and 186 lbs.-ft of peak torque. It has been said that a 35.5 kWh Lithium ion battery pack is in the pipeline for a hybrid, but the details still aren’t clear. The FWD (Front Wheel Drive) SUC’s engine is mated to a smooth 6-speed automatic transmission. It makes a nice grunting sound when started.

Full blown acceleration in this SUV is pretty good, considering that it is a crossover. Its closest competitor, the Subaru Crosstrek, generates only 152 hp of power.

Interior Appearance:

Front bucket seats with adjustable headrests are available. Audio controls and other buttons are present on the steering wheel, which sports Cruise Control as well.
